Objective: To know the customs and gastronomy of the province of Sihuas, department of Ancash. Methods: Due to the very nature of the research, we worked within the qualitative approach, using the phenomenological method as a method, based on an open design that was adapted according to reality, which was presented at the time the study was carried out. As an instrument the same researchers, who were collecting the reports through observation and the oral reports of the participants who intervened in each town visited. It was necessary to identify oneself and be in the communities for several days in order to gain the trust of the population in order to obtain the information required for our study; then making the written report describing all the observations and oral reports received from the participants from the villages visited. Results: It is concluded from the different significant points that have been found in the investigation. Mentioning each of them.
