Synopsis

In an industrial environment marked by globalization, automation, and rapid digital transformation, the ability to convert data into knowledge has become an essential competency for industrial engineers. Organizations no longer compete solely on operational efficiency, but also on their ability to capture, structure, and analyze reliable information to support timely and strategic decisions.

This book has been specifically designed for students and professionals in Industrial Engineering, with the aim of addressing database design from a perspective applied to production, logistics, and management processes. Far from treating databases as a merely technological component, this work presents them as a critical infrastructure for continuous improvement, operational traceability, and data-driven management.
